| Richard H. Gasperini |
Graduated from The George Washington University in 1974 and entered The University of Toledo College of Law in 1979. Accepted a commission as a Judge Advocate in the U.S. Navy and was posted to the Naval Legal Service Office, Charleston, South Carolina, where he served as both a trial and defense counsel. Subsequent active duty included tours as Staff Judge Advocate, Naval Station, Charleston, South Carolina; Claims Attorney, Claims and Tort Litigation Division, Office of the Judge Advocate General of the Navy; and Command Judge Advocate, National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, Maryland. Earned an LL.M. (emphasis in health care law) from The George Washington University in 1987. Since transferring to the Naval Reserve in 1990, has served as a Military Judge with the Naval and Marine Corps Trial Judiciary until his retirement in September 2005. As a civilian attorney, has developed an active trial practice in the area of medical malpractice with over 50 successful trial outcomes. Cases have involved trauma, surgical errors, cancer misdiagnosis, and other complex medical misadventures. Education
